How we work

Different expertise.
Shared practice.

At Helm, management and clinical practice don't sit in separate parts of the organisation. We bring different perspectives together — observing, questioning, reflecting and making decisions alongside one another, so that understanding a child shapes the care they experience every day.

Observe

What are we seeing?

Wonder

What might be happening underneath?

Understand

What helps us make sense of this?

Formulate

What does the whole picture tell us?

Plan

What does the child need from us?

Respond

How does this change what we do?

Reflect

What can we learn?
Understanding that reaches everyday care.
Different responsibilities remain but much of the thinking happens together, bringing clinical understanding and management oversight into the decisions, relationships and everyday moments that shape a child's care.

Our team

Built to work
together.

Everyone at Helm has a clear role and their own areas of responsibility, but the work doesn't happen in separate clinical and management spaces.
Our teams work closely together, bringing different perspectives to discussions about each child, sharing what they are noticing and thinking through what this means for their care. This means clinical understanding, management oversight and the team's everyday experience all inform the decisions we make and how we respond in practice.
Different expertise, working around the same child.
